Traveling to Israel on a Birthright trip with my sister, Tori, was such an amazing experience. The food in Israel is incredible in its flavors and history, and it is made from so many beautiful ingredients and vegetable-forward cooking techniques. After spending only 10 days in the country and just whetting my appetite, I knew I needed to explore the cuisine on my own even more; I aimed to fully understand its possibilities, further connect with my roots, and recreate the joy I felt being in immersed in such a rich and delicious culture!
